Aesthetics in climbing gyms have gained importance in recent years. Recently, colors have become flashier, almost neon (green, pink, orange). This improves route readability for climbers. Especially when climbers are above the holds looking for a foothold, there can be so much chalk on certain holds that the colors are indistinguishable. With these flashy colors, that’s no longer an issue.
Many brands now use standardized colors so that when a route setter creates a route using holds from multiple brands, the route remains visually consistent, and climbers may not even realize that the route contains holds from different brands.
Experienced climbers may feel slight differences in texture on some holds.
Agripp produces its holds in approved colors, allowing route setters to integrate them into various routes without compromising style.
Gray is not part of the standard colors, as volumes are generally this color. To avoid confusion, we don’t produce gray holds.
